Earth Leakage Units

What is an earth leakage unit?

An earth leakage unit, also called an RCD or RCCB, disconnects the supply when it detects current leaking to earth, which protects people from electric shock and reduces fire risk.

Should I choose a surface or flush DB board?

Surface boards mount on the face of the wall, which is common for retrofits, garages and outbuildings. Flush boards are recessed into the wall for a neat finish in new builds and renovations.

What does module or way mean on a DB board?

It is the number of single pole breaker positions the board can take. A 12 module board fits twelve 1 pole breakers, or fewer if you fit 2 pole or 4 pole devices.
